IRGACARE® MP - the antibacterial component

During in vitro testing, VICRYL® Plus Suture created a zone of inhibition around the suture in which bacteria are unable to grow.

PLUS Sutures, provide the same wound healing, wound strength and tissue response as traditional sutures.The efficacy of IRGACARE® MP will not diminish regardless of suture diameter, knotting or passage through tissues.

IRGACARE® MP, the purest form of triclosan, has a favourable safety profile spanning over 30 years.

PLUS Sutures with IRGACARE® MP are effective against the pathogens most commonly associated with surgical site infections: Staphylococcus aureus,Staphylococcus epidermidis, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis (MRSE)
